This place was awesome and beautiful and peaceful. I am a native to Arizona and have been to Lakeside Pinetop once before. This trip was just amazing. Home was well equipped with all you need. Bed were comfy and Russ was available whenever I needed him. The thing is he gives you all the info you need before you arrive via email. Just a great time and the Rim walk was something everyone needs to do. Thank you Russ and Regina for the awesome spot to have our family get away.

This was the PERFECT place to spend Memorial Day Weekend! We had 4 couples stay in the cabin, and we were so comfortable. The decks are amazing and we loved the hot tub! The location was super convenient. Regina was wonderful to work with. She responded instantly to any questions and her welcome packet was so helpful! Her and her husband are clearly expert hosts! They have instructions for everything and great tips for exploring. They really know how to make you feel right at home. This is definitely a place we will rent again and again! :)

Russ and Regina's cabin in Pinetop-Lakeside is furnished and well stocked with everything needed to be comfortable (kitchen items, bedding, lots of towels, starter amounts of toiletries and paper goods, etc etc etc!). There's plenty of space for a large group and the location is convenient to the restaurants and stores in Pinetop-Lakeside. We enjoyed the hot tub very much, especially after a long day of skiing/snowboarding at Sunrise. Entry instructions and house rules were clearly communicated and Russ was quick to answer any questions we had.

What an amazing time we have had. So much in fact, we have decided to look at buying a place in the area! The notty pine & log staircase banister just took our breath away. Jonathan feel in love with their massage chair! We travel a lot and these beds are great! Tucked away in the beautiful pines, everything was just so relaxing. Olive, our mini-Schanuzer loved the dog run. It was her first encounter with snow and she seemed to love it! We highly recommend this pinetop cabin!!

This home was great! We had such a great new year! The hot tub was perfect after skiing and Russ even left s'mores supplies for the fire pit on the porch. We had trouble finding the cabin and Russ was readily available to help us! Thank you for the lovely stay!

All three couples had a wonderful time, and except for a little confusion with the keys as we were leaving there were no issues. Russ was in contact with me to be sure we got settled in, and made himself available if there were any problems. The home was all as was advertised and more. Everything worked including the Kareokee which was a blast on a cool rainy night. To make a long story short it just felt like home and no one wanted to leave at the end of the weekend

The host made us feel welcomed and answered any questions we may have had in a timely manner. The house fit our needs, and was very comfortable and clean. The kitchen was big and fully stocked so making meals was easy. I would recommend this house to anyone who would like to visit Pine Top Lakeside area as it is centrally located so you have quick access to nice restaurants, quilting stores, and antique shops.

Booking the cabin with Russ was a great experience and communication was excellent as well. The cabin came with the basic essentials and was perfectly set up for us to stay. The cabin was in a great location to go skiing at sunrise and to come back to a hot tub was marvelous to say the least! I would definitely recommend booking and staying at Russ & Regina's mountain home!

The stay at Russ and Regina's home was very pleasant. The beds were comfortable and the house was more than enough room for our family of 5 even with some extended family visiting for Christmas day holding 8 comfortably. The main TV went out but Russ was prompt in replacing it while we were out of the house snowboarding. (even though it was Christmas eve!) House was clean and the Karaoke machine was a blast! Always fun to laugh at/with family members. Was very happy to see snow for Christmas and this cabin is great for winter trips to snowboard/ski. Nothing is better than getting into a hot jacuzzi after a long day on the mountain. Overall a great stay in Pinetop close to a lot of places to eat and a few grocery options very close. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. **Use caution in the winter around the house as ice builds up and can be very slippery. **

The cabin was exactly as advertised and very clean. The checking in & out process went smoothly, the stay was very comfortable & Russ was attentive to the details making appliances, kitchenware, games & supplies for s'mores available for use. It was a beautiful, relaxing getaway in the pines!

We absolutely loved this place and can't wait to visit again! The house was roomy, comfortable, and clean. The location was convenient to restaurants and shopping, but quiet with plenty of space and trees. The house had everything we needed, and Russ' welcome packet made it easy to get settled in and feel at home. The hot tub, foosball table, and fire-pit (with s'mores) were awesome! We couldn't have picked a better place to take the kids (and dog) for a week of fishing, grilling, and just enjoying some time away from the city.

Russ and Regina's place is awesome! It is a beautiful cabin with tons of space both downstairs and upstairs. Our favorites were the balcony/patio space - a spacious sitting area with fire-pit on the first floor and a hot tub with swinging bench and foosball table upstairs. They left s'mores ingredients for us, too! Entry was easy, the place was clean, the beds were comfortable, and you cannot beat the weather in Pinetop during the summer. We had a blast and will definitely consider staying here again to escape the Phoenix summer!

We absolutely loved this place. It's great for groups, and has all the supplies needed to cook and grill. The area itself is wooded, quiet and semi-secluded, but close to grocery stores, restaurants and other activities. Overall, it's a great place to come and relax, we found ourselves playing board games on the porch or relaxing in the hot tub (which was great). Russ was extremely accommodating and very generous during our stay. He was always available through message and was greatly helpful. The s'mores supplies were a nice touch.

Lovely home set in a beautiful area with lots of trees. Neighborhood clean and quiet (except for some dogs now and then). Their home was clean and welcoming.

We had a wonderful time. Kitchen was fully stocked with all of the essentials. Grill was fantastic (Weber). Upstairs bathroom is large and spacious, too. We enjoyed the hot tub. House was in a great location. House is not too far from a Super Walmart. Safeway is the opposite direction and a little farther. Rainbow Lake is very close and the walking trail is close as well. (Great views from the main paved trail.) House was clean (other than a few hairs in upstairs bathroom shower). Plenty of towels. Both Regina and Russ were very responsive. We did have a visitor meet us our first few minutes at the (URL HIDDEN) was a bat! But, it didn't take long for it to leave the house once it realized that we had arrived safely. I contacted Russ to inform him. He was as shocked as we were (I believe we were a bit more surprised...) But, we never saw it again after it left. Also, there was a small drip from the upstairs bathroom ceiling during a good rain. Again, Russ was very responsive and set up a repair person to fix it after we left. (We were leaving the next day anyway so it wasn't a bother.) The drip stopped once the rain was over. No cable TV in the upstairs bedroom off the stairs. However, was able to watch movies (DVD or VHS). This was ok otherwise our youngest would have spent all day in the room. All of the beds were pretty comfortable. All of them roomy. Really liked the access from the master bedroom to the balcony where the hot tub, Foose Ball table and speakers are (plug your smart phone in and you can listen to music while you enjoy the hot tub). Had a lot of fun using all of them. Wish we could have made use of the electric fireplaces, but overall we had a great time. Everything was as advertised. The price was really good, too. The owners are very gracious and a pleasure to talk to. I recommend this place for a nice get-away from the city bustle. I really appreciated the communication process from start to finish with Russ and Regina. I will place this listing on my list of places to re-visit.

We had a lovely time here. It was spacious, all the items needed were at hand. The view from the top balcony was nothing short of gorgeous, especially evening time. The outdoor dog run was lovely to have, clean, and well kept. The one issue we had while there was very promptly taken care of by the owners, and they checked in to make sure everything was well. Can't say enough good words about our vacation here.

I highly recommend this beautify vacation property for anyone looking for a getaway. The home is immaculate. I have stayed at many "cabins" from VRBO and I have to say this home impressed me the most. It’s a home. From the fully functioning kitchen to towels you'd have in your own home. We rented this cabin for my daughters 16th birthday and brought up some of her favorite friends. They had so much fun here, walking the property, hanging in the Jacuzzi, playing foosball and just hanging outside on the decks. I have to say the karaoke was a big hit too... Russ was patient and kind, provided pointers for us to do during our stay as we didn't know the area. I'll definitely be back! Lisa

We had a great time, I did not know the second story has a foosball table on it that was a lot of fun and a nice surprise it also has a really good hot tub. The television has a blue ray player and can do Netflix and YouTube, I needed a little help so I called the owner and he knew exactly what to do, and I spoke with him for about ten minutes. He gave us some great ideas for sightseeing, we went to the Rim Trail and it was like he said an easy walk into another world. Best vacation rental we've done so far, if we come again we will book this place.

First time to Pinetop area. My wife and I brought our two dogs to get away from the Tucson heat. This place is wonderful. It is very warm and inviting. What is most important to us, cleanliness, was exceeded in our expectations. From the towels to bed linen to the comfy sofas to the carpets to the big bathtub... The hot tub was also very welcoming after a full day of hiking with the dogs each day. Enjoying the hammock on the second deck was also a nice amenity. Did not see or hear any neighbors. Also the owners were easily accessible via phone for a couple of questions that we had while there. Can't wait to bring back more of the family next time. This would be a great place for a big family vacation thanks

Six of us (two families) went up to get out of the heat for the weekend to this wonderful house in the pines. The house is in a neighborhood and close to town, but when you are sitting on the porch you would think there was no one else for miles. I was pleasantly surprised at the amenities as well. We could not have wanted anything, except more time to stay. Thank you to the owners for letting us enjoy their home. We went for a couple of hikes and down to the lake. It was great. Thank you, Katie

8 friends and myself just returned from a great weekend in this beautiful home for my birthday! It is absolutely breathtaking. I have never rented a home off the internet so I was a little bit nervous until we drove up and all my worries were put to rest the second we stepped inside. We spent most of our time playing board games in the living room with the french doors open to enjoy the cool fall air (which open out to the deck, amazing!) and in the hot tub. This house is just so warm and inviting. We already started talking about our next trip up to this house (hopefully when its snowing). I think this is going to be our tradition. Great house, Great people to rent from, Great Great Great! Lindsey

WOW!!! This place is amazing! You will be in awe from the moment you walk in...beautiful home, so comfortable & spacious. Upstairs bathroom is unique & very cool - sunken tub, shower that comfortably fits a 6'5 man easily! All of the bedding/beds are the most comfortable and wonderfully decorated! i now have to purchase a new bed...they spoiled me here. OK...upper patio w the jacuzzi!!! Huge patio, tons of trees provide privacy, you feel like a bird in your very own huge nest! Jacuzzi is where I spent a LOT of time...this place is heaven! Great for large groups tons of space, also great for a romantic little get away! Perfect location in lakeside near everything but you are secluded in the trees and not too close to other cabins. We had all of the windows open most of the time and noise was never an issue (unless you dislike the sound of chirping birds). I've rented many properties this is one of the best experiences all around - easy to work with the owners, great instructions on how to at the house, everything was easy and flawless - everything works perfectly! OHH tons of hot water you will never run out! i think that covers it all - plan on staying here for my yearly trip up north from now on! You will not be disappointed with this rental – it’s a gem!!! ENJOY!!!!

What a beautiful big cabin home in the pines! The home is so nice and spacious. Both the kitchen and formal dinning area made for wonderful dinners fit for a our big family of 9. We liked that the home had 2 king beds as usually places only have one! Upstairs king room was big and led right out to the upper deck. Each room had a dresser for storing your clothes which was nice. Loved the Jacuzzi and hammock on the upper deck...super nice! We brought an air mattress for the kids and if fit perfect up on the loft area by the computer nook. Nice to have the wifi internet at our disposal up in the loft area as well. We spent a great deal of time on back deck. It has plenty of patio furniture and a swing to boot! The dogs loved walking to Rainbow lake as well! The only thing that would make this perfect would be to replace the 1/2 of the front gate that is missing to keep the pups safe from the road! Awesome cabin home rental, and at a great price!! We absolutely loved our stay, and will surely be back! A big thanks to Russ & Regina for a great stay in their wonderful home! Veronica

We enjoyed sitting in the living room and watching tv, movies and looking out the French doors at the pine trees. I loved sitting on the upper balcony and watching the sunset as my Granddaughter fell asleep on my lap. A very peaceful retreat.

Thanks so much. We did have a wonderful weekend. The house was great and it worked perfectly for our whole family. The kids had a great time sledding down the driveway and building a snowman. The grownups enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after a day of skiing and attempting to snowboard. We are already talking about taking more vacation time next year and staying for a week! You and Russ have been so helpful. We have already recommended the house to some friends. Thanks again for sharing your home with us. Sincerely, Lauren

Luxury and Comfort in the Wilderness!
Date of Stay
December 24, 2010
My family and two other families decided to rent a cabin on the Christmas weekend in Pinetop, and we found this cabin on vacationrentals.com, and we are so glad that we stayed at this cabin. What I can tell you is that this cabin is not just a cabin. It is a mansion. The minute we arrived, my kids jumped into the jacuzzi, on Dec 24th! And they had so much fun. The cabin is nothing short of luxury, and it has several reclining seats in the living room with the open ceiling where we can all just kick back and have fun. The master bathroom is as big and luxurious as the one in the Presidential Suite at Bellagio in Vegas. Once you are inside the cabin, you don't even want to get out of it and go anywhere (there are several trails and places that you could go near by). We ended up playing cards on the dining table by the kitchen all night long. What is even more terrific is that the owners Russ and Regina are very considerate and reasonable people, and doing business with them has been a joy. Come and check it out. You won't regret it!

My wife and I wanted a romantic trip to the mountains and were very happy with our stay in this home. The bed was really comfortable and the heated mattress pad on the bed was a nice touch. There were some pine needles in the yard, but that was to be expected with all of the Pine trees. The decor was nice in the home, the TV was a flat screen and like 42" which was nice for watching movies. Most of all we enjoyed sitting outside on the porch swing holding hands and enjoying the beautiful outdoors. We really like that the owners had lots of information, things to do in the area, maps, hiking info etc at the home so we could take advantage of our time there. The restaurants they recommended were excellent. I had the prime rib at Charlie Clarks and it is the best steak I have ever had, a little pricey, but well worth it. I will recommend this home to my friends and family and look forward to returning there again.

We have visited Pinetop for several years now and found this vacation home to be exceptional. The home was beautiful and the owners had everything that we needed to make our vacation peaceful and relaxing. The king size bed in the master bedroom was super comfortable, there were lots of pillows, and the bedding was high quality. We loved sitting in the hot tub on the second floor balcony and watching the little tuxedo birds forage for food in the branches of the nearby pine trees. My husband really enjoyed laying in the hammock relaxing in the afternoon sun. The home had wireless internet which we easily linked to and took care of emails. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, lots of cups, dishes, pans etc. The attention to detail that the owners took with the amenities is just outstanding for a vacation home. There was even a towel warmer in the master bathroom! I can not say enough about the value that we feel we received renting this home. I will stay at this home again and I highly recommend it to anyone considering a trip to Pinetop.

The home was clean, comfortable, and relaxing. The kitchen was well-equipped; a gas grill was available; the deep soaking tub in the upstairs bathroom was most enjoyable and the bathrooms well supplied and sanitary; the hot tub was clean and worked GREAT!! Even though located amongst several other houses, there still was privacy (didn't see or hear another neighbor), and the trees, views, etc. were very relaxing. There was some road traffic/noise but it would diminish by evening and none of it could be heard from inside the home. Several area dogs would occasionally bark but only for short duration and could not be heard from inside. The home is conveniently located to Show Low and Pinetop; we enjoyed Fools Hollow Lake, the sunset at the Rim trail, the casino, and eating at the Lotus Garden and Stolen Recipe BBQ.,etc. There is plenty to see and do utilizing this as a home-base. The Owners were great to work with, were responsive-esp. to questions, caring and friendly. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!!

The Charlie's steak house was great. We were very close to Rainbow lake and enjoyed Show Low lake as well. We enjoyed the antique shops very much.
